Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donato Prestes got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Curiphila Eagles getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Reinaldo Cearense hit a great ball. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Vaz in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Caco Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Magalhães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Murilo Paiva having to make a save. 12 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAO JOANENSE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curiphila Eagles the free kick. Rafinha Furlan hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Costa in the 15th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper José do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SAO JOANENSE FC's José do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save SAO JOANENSE FC from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Wiliam Matorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murilo Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st minute, Naldo Costa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 24th minute, Horácio Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Donato Prestes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curiphila Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Horácio Montenegro's late challenge caught a SAO JOANENSE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SAO JOANENSE FC booed when Curiphila Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Curiphila Eagles's zone, Eriberto Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Paiva came out of the goal and Eriberto Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Túlio de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Lara in the 41st minute of play. Murilo Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Murilo Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Lara in the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper José do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donato Prestes. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

José do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Prestes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José do Vale having to make a save. Rômulo Pires scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Costa in the 70th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper José do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Costa in the 71st minute of play. Naldo Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Matorin in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Lara came free, but Murilo Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Magalhães got free with Murilo Paiva in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Curiphila Eagles's Donato Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Elivélton Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrinho Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Magalhães shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Murilo Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eriberto Vaz in the 94th minute. Túlio de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, SAO JOANENSE FC's Pedrinho Lara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SAO JOANENSE FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
