In the 5th minute Mateus Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmílson Britto was a little too slow when Evaristo Tolino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 12th match minute, Karaboudjan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Wilson de Queiroz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Tolino got free with Edmílson Britto in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Edu Nóbrega notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Karaboudjan's Jefferson do Vale. Jefferson do Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edmílson Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton de Amaral in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Tolino in the 29th minute of play forced Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Edmílson Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Wilton de Amaral recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edmílson Britto. Wilton de Amaral showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Edmílson Britto made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Wilton de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. Edmílson Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton de Amaral in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When Cássio Paes came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Trindade Atlético Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Paes couldn't finish the play. Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton de Amaral in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilton de Amaral in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmílson Britto saved Trindade Atlético Club from getting behind. Jefferson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Paes in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Evaristo Tolino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmílson Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antony Donnelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 63 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Edu Nóbrega. Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Tolino in the 66th minute of play. Edmílson Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antony Donnelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Wilson de Queiroz hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the game, Antony Donnelly cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Edmílson Britto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edmílson Britto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilton de Amaral's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton de Amaral came free, but Edmílson Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wilton de Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmílson Britto was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Edmílson Britto came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Karaboudjan's Filomeno Nicholas. But to his dismay, Filomeno Nicholas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. After some careless play in the Trindade Atlético Club defense, Evaristo Tolino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmílson Britto. The Trindade Atlético Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmílson Britto should have stopped the shot. Edmílson Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Evaristo Tolino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmílson Britto. Trindade Atlético Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Tolino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Karaboudjan had played much better football throughout.
