Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 武建松 in the 70th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 武建松 in the 71st minute of play. Eugeniusz Charlos made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Piast Choszczno's goalie and right to Agustín Saelices. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Piast Choszczno's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 86 minutes into the match, Piast Choszczno's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Charlos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than Piast Choszczno and deserved their victory. The Piast Choszczno players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
