Facundo Cadaval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavel Romanescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Miltos Kotsovolos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, FC Pegasas Siauliai's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Pavel Romanescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Romanescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes FC Pegasas Siauliai got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Liaudanskas. In the 32nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Romanescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39thth minute of the game 孟振邦 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Pegasas Siauliai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juras Tolvaiša didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Juras Tolvaiša hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Romanescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Pegasas Siauliai's 孟振邦. But to his dismay, 孟振邦 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. FC Pegasas Siauliai's Pavel Romanescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes in the game, Lautaro Mancebo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pavel Romanescu having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pavel Romanescu, 1-1. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Ernestas Alvinskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pavel Romanescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 84 minutes of play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pavel Romanescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Romanescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rūtenis Bračas in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper Pavel Romanescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Alberto Tafalla was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Pegasas Siauliai throughout the match.
