Conrado Rodriguez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Conrado Rodriguez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute Conrado Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 82nd minute, Cirilo Virila made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Orzaize went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Orzaize in the 96th minute of play. Sαηgrε Azuɭ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
