In the 21st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudemiro Tristão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Eiró to make the kick off. Benjamin Šeško hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. GD Almargense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claudemiro Tristão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes of play, GD Almargense's Zarco Patrício made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there!
