Ciro Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Decathlon Anderlecht's Remco Dekker ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remco Dekker in the 9th minute of the match. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Decathlon Anderlecht's Mattijs Klaes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 20thth minute of the game Remco Dekker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Decathlon Anderlecht's attack was well implemented in the 22nd minute, but when Remco Dekker was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. When Decathlon Anderlecht's Remco Dekker in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ciro Lira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 54 minutes into the match, Decathlon Anderlecht's goalkeeper Ciro Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After 57 played minutes Decathlon Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Cummings. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro Lira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Remco Dekker came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattijs Klaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After 64 minutes, Felix Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Decathlon Anderlecht players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Giles Winnepenninck came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 played minutes Decathlon Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Teles. In the 71st minute, Remco Dekker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Decathlon Anderlecht fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Remco Dekker came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giles Winnepenninck's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After 86 minutes, Remco Dekker made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Giles Winnepenninck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Decathlon Anderlecht were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ecuador for a fine match.
