The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Adam Băsescu charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adam Băsescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roberto Ocampo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Costel Juverdeanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Roberto Ocampo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 74th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Peretu City 09's goalkeeper Costel Juverdeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Venezuela left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Peretu City 09.
