But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torgny Landin couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Torgny Landin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Torgny Landin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Torgny Landin really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Jens-Åke Källberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Jens-Åke Källberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. With his leg Pedro Manzanares managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Boca Juniors's Oscar Lindholm fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Källberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torgny Landin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dimitris Panagiotakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Lars Ekberg made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Axel Montenegro sped through Boca Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jens-Åke Källberg.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torgny Landin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Colombia's Antonio Indiano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lars Ekberg in the 54 minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torgny Landin in the 58th minute of the match. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jens-Åke Källberg having to make a save. Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 60th minute of play. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Torgny Landin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, Per-Åke Lundberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colombia the free kick. In the 95th minute, Per-Åke Lundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
