Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) RWDM's Sylvan Van der Willeghem started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tony Vandenberge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RWDM's Tony Vandenberge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 3 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. RWDM's Tony Vandenberge tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ritchie Kerkhofs hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sylvan Van der Willeghem came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Tony Vandenberge. RWDM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 14th match minute, RWDM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ritchie Kerkhofs to maneuver through the defense. Tony Vandenberge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. A collision led to RWDM getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Fre Schoovaerts hit a great ball. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RWDM's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Vandenberge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anthony Coenens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 33 minutes of play, RWDM's Sylvan Van der Willeghem made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Lennert Van der Vloedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Lennert Van der Vloedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Sylvan Van der Willeghem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Sylvan Van der Willeghem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Sylvan Van der Willeghem got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 2-2. Tony Vandenberge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. If Sylvan Van der Willeghem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute Anthony Coenens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lennert Van der Vloedt came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, RWDM's Tony Vandenberge got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Tony Vandenberge made a huge save. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Tony Vandenberge to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tony Vandenberge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 71st minute Anthony Coenens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylvan Van der Willeghem in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Tony Vandenberge when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 83 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Tony Vandenberge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylvan Van der Willeghem in the 89th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tony Vandenberge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Tony Vandenberge in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anthony Coenens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sylvan Van der Willeghem succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
