Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 68 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. 73 minutes into the game, Berkem Heybetli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filippos Stathopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filippos Stathopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliseo Noboa's late challenge caught a Lillhärdal BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa helped the player get up and apologised.
