Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taco Scholte hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Cees Hermensen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Taco Scholte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute Cees Hermensen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Bender in the 27th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cees Hermensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Hugo Bender sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Bender came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cees Hermensen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Bender made a kick off. Hugo Bender recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Bender in the 58th minute of play. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Teesing having to interfere. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cees Hermensen in the 68th minute. Hugo Bender might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Bender ran back to his position shaking his head. Erwin Teesing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Cees Hermensen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hugo Bender came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the ASC South United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Bender couldn't finish the play. Cees Hermensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes ASC South United got a freekick which was hit by Cees Hermensen. Hugo Bender received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the ASC South United defense, Axel Tasis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erwin Teesing. The ASC South United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erwin Teesing should have stopped the shot. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ASC South United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
