Leonardo Peru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. After having played for 34 minutes, Alberto Laffitte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ALAMBRE de PÚAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Laffitte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honduras's attentive Esteban Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Luis Iyan made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. Fausto Bide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute.
