Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cha Fe FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Facundo Cadaval was in a good position and ended up with the ball after Mexico's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Teobaldo Phelipe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. After having played for 12 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cha Fe FC's Elvio Pacho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 18th minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cha Fe FC's goalkeeper Elvio Pacho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Cha Fe FC's Teobaldo Phelipe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. 32 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elvio Pacho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Elvio Pacho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was a well-played corner which Lautaro Mancebo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Cha Fe FC's Fidel Geofredo got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teobaldo Phelipe to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Phelipe came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elvio Pacho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Phelipe in the 60th minute of play. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cha Fe FC made a substitution. Eduardo Mede replaced Augusto Jurdan. Cha Fe FC's Basilio Jusepe was substituted for Jimeno Atarrabi. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Pacho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Pacho. Cha Fe FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Mexico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cha Fe FC had won, even though Mexico had held more of the ball.
