Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Vincent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Pierson in the 21st minute of the match. Brannik's Robert Vincent got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes Brannik got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Dow. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from İslam Hirfanlı went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. İslam Hirfanlı's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benito Sanz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İslam Hirfanlı in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Byron Tanner having to interfere. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Sidney Eldridge tried to sneak it across the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Brannik's İslam Hirfanlı nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Brannik's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
