Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Amadei having to interfere. With a little luck, Las Momias F. C.'s Carlo Amadei got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Amadei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Carlo Amadei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
