In the 2ndth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Witalis Chmielecki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Witalis Chmielecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 26th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Witalis Chmielecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Witalis Chmielecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Witalis Chmielecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Witalis Chmielecki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 63 played minutes MZKS Sharks Gdynia got a freekick which was hit by Güntekin Enginer. Daniel Zorita in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Witalis Chmielecki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radomil Bielatowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. A collision led to MZKS Sharks Gdynia getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Szczepan Piwowarski hit a great ball. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Witalis Chmielecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Witalis Chmielecki. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gao Gang came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gao Gang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Witalis Chmielecki to make any attempt to save it. Witalis Chmielecki had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of MZKS Sharks Gdynia booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Witalis Chmielecki in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ecuador had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
