Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luke Clist started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute of the match Palmeiras got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tarcisio Reis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Palmeiras's Tarcisio Reis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Donato in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Bungeanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 10th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ghenadie Furdui in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Tarcisio Reis got a free kick in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Bungeanu. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-0 became the score in the 21st minute when Iustin Bungeanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Facundo Cadaval came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Facundo Cadaval couldn't finish the play. Iustin Bungeanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Iustin Bungeanu scored 2-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdir Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Clist came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luke Clist charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luke Clist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis de Queirós having to interfere. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Waldemar Jacinto hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Régis de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Régis de Queirós having to make a save. When Facundo Cadaval came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Facundo Cadaval couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Lautaro Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palmeiras's José Carlos Simões was substituted for Iustin Bungeanu. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Simões in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Simões in the 72nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Leonardo Donato came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Donato couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 79th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Régis de Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Régis de Queirós however easily saved by the left post. In the 87th minute, Leonardo Donato left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmeiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 91 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Régis de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Simões came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Palmeiras's José Carlos Simões in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
