Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Gaona kicked off to start the match. Ghenadie Furdui hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Régis de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 4th minute of the match. Régis de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 5th minute of play. Iustin Bungeanus short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Dante Lacasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luke Clist in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis de Queirós having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Bungeanu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustin Bungeanu got free with Dante Lacasa in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Luke Clist made the kick off in the second half. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Donato in the 56th minute of play. Régis de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Simões in the 64th minute of the match. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Palmeiras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Macos Graciani made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Leonardo Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Facundo Cadaval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis de Queirós having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Donato came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Régis de Queirós came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 85 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Ghenadie Furdui. Régis de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Régis de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Reis came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
