In the 9th minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Karl-Michael Brask ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Marcos Cotilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Karl-Michael Brask scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Wagner Doro sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Adrian Isăilă got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 29 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Bejan. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Karl-Michael Brask took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Isăilă during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adrian Isăilă kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Peter came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Peter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Alguacil in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Peter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavio Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Karl-Michael Brask. But to his dismay, Karl-Michael Brask quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Michael Brask stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavio Peter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the game, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Wagner Doro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 55th minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Rareș Hănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento scored to the left of an out of position Flavio Peter, making the score, 5-1. In the 65th minute Wagner Doro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. Xerxes Doro got a throw-in 71 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Paul Stoian. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Brask, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Panama's Matthew Garrido got a free kick in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Wagner Doro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wagner Doro in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 88 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rareș Hănescu hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xerxes Doro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
