An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play forced TS Wisła Kraków's goalkeeper Jurand Panasewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurand Panasewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when TS Wisła Kraków was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Arnista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jurand Panasewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurand Panasewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TS Wisła Kraków's Jurand Panasewicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Maxim. When Ryszard Przybyciel fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TS Wisła Kraków's protests and gave Ryszard Przybyciel a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes TS Wisła Kraków got a freekick which was hit by Ryszard Przybyciel. After 46 minutes, Palmiro Quadros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TS Wisła Kraków and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, TS Wisła Kraków was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palmiro Quadros to maneuver through the defense. The TS Wisła Kraków players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The TS Wisła Kraków players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
