Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jesús Caminero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesús Caminero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Ramón Sosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Argen-Taino's Jesús Caminero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jesús Caminero quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Argen-Taino defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesús Caminero. The Argen-Taino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesús Caminero should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Stewarts got free with Julio Vera in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustín Zapata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Graciano Verón in the 45th minute really tested Julio Vera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 47 played minutes Argen-Taino got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Vinicio. In the 47th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jesús Caminero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Stewarts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jesús Caminero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 64thth minute of the game Jeremias Stewarts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Graciano Verón was slow to take the kick. During this time Argen-Taino's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Graciano Verón got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jesús Caminero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jesús Caminero. That made the score 2-2 in the 71 minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jesús Caminero made a huge save. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The supporters of Argen-Taino booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Sosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Argen-Taino were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ramón Sosa took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ramón Sosa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 82 played minutes Argen-Taino got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Vinicio. In the 83rd minute, Gonzalo Vinicio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Jesús Caminero in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Argen-Taino's Jeremias Stewarts got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Argen-Taino players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
