Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Afonso Amado took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Amado. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Amado in the 12th minute of play. After some careless play in the Desert Fury defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernani Correia. The Desert Fury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernani Correia should have stopped the shot. After 18 minutes Desert Fury's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Felix Montenegro drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Desert Fury's goalkeeper. After 21 minutes, Hélio Manarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Desert Fury and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hélio Manarte kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Ramos in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Sebastián Puig during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Desert Fury booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Correia having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélio Malheiro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernani Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Hernani Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Hélio Manarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro suffered a concussion after 58 minutes and had to leave the field. João Carlos Caneças charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Carlos Caneças the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ecuador made a substitution. Diego Mancebo replaced Felix Montenegro. Luis Andino scored 0-5 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hernani Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Hernani Correia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Desert Fury's Hernani Correia got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hélio Malheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desert Fury's Pedro Maurito was substituted for Afonso Amado. Pedro Apalanga charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Apalanga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Desert Fury getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Pedro Apalanga hit a great ball. Hernani Correia came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After a rather tough play, Desert Fury's Pedro Maurito got a free kick in the 84th minute. Hernani Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hernani Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernani Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernani Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Ecuador played a much better game than Desert Fury and deserved their victory. The Desert Fury players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
