Firmin Négrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ANAHA FC's Firmin Négrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Djibril Herbaut. Firmin Négrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Tanek Walczyk's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 14th minute of play forced ANAHA FC's goalkeeper Firmin Négrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Firmin Négrel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Ponc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Firmin Négrel came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Firmin Négrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ANAHA FC's Éluard Plantade. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tanek Walczyk in the 43rd minute of play.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanek Walczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Hassan Theron kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match ANAHA FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Djibril Herbaut ran over to the corner to take the kick. ANAHA FC's Djibril Herbaut was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tanek Walczyk in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, ANAHA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Firmin Négrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tanek Walczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ANAHA FC's Dudu Georgescu was substituted for Francisco Ibañez. The audience was convinced that Tanek Walczyk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 89th minute Tanek Walczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ANAHA FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Marc-Olivier Coq hit a great ball. When Primitivo Andino fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Primitivo Andino a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes ANAHA FC got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Georgescu. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ANAHA FC.
