Héreg SC's Răzvan Lipoveanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 9th minute of play forced Héreg SC's goalkeeper Răzvan Lipoveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anthimos Balopoulos in the 11 minute of the game. 16 minutes into the game, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Răzvan Lipoveanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Răzvan Lipoveanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moises Tafalla in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Răzvan Lipoveanu saved Héreg SC from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Héreg SC's Simon Gervai dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Edmundo Espiga scored 1-3 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Răzvan Lipoveanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 37 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Maarek Grattepanche tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aladár Újházi in the 43rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Héreg SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Răzvan Lipoveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. A collision led to Héreg SC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Károly Vándor hit a great ball. Honduras's Christian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Răzvan Lipoveanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Héreg SC's Dávid Szőllőssy was substituted for Károly Vándor. After 66 minutes, Anthimos Balopoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Héreg SC and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. 67 minutes in the game, Moises Tafalla fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Răzvan Lipoveanu having to interfere. The supporters of Honduras booed when Héreg SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aladár Újházi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Răzvan Lipoveanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Villa in the 69th minute. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Răzvan Lipoveanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
