Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stephan De Vriendt in the 3 minute of the game. Cafer Demirsah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of the match. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 8th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Jonathan Livingston ⚜️'s goalie and right to Alonso Berganza. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Jonathan Livingston ⚜️'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ahmet Boran Nabi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Halim Tetiker sent off a good shot on target. After 14 played minutes Jonathan Livingston ⚜️ got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Worrall. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Worrall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Worrall in the 26th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cafer Demirsah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cafer Demirsah. Cafer Demirsah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Halim Tetiker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Jonathan Livingston ⚜️'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Cafer Demirsah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Jonathan Livingston ⚜️ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eddy Worrall to make the kick off. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cafer Demirsah. The goal made the score 0-2. Cafer Demirsah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josep Miquelarena, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Rafael Gallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cafer Demirsah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Halim Tetiker struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jonathan Livingston ⚜️. In the 89th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafer Demirsah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafer Demirsah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
