Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Flavius Pantea started the match with the kick off. FC Kirchroa's Matthijs Meerdink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriaan van Schaik. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Matthijs Meerdink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Martinelli in the 31st minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthijs Meerdink having to interfere. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Hegg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When FC Kirchroa's Adriaan van Schaik, in the 43rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for FC Kirchroa. Ramon María Quintana hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Kirchroa's goalkeeper Matthijs Meerdink, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matthijs Meerdink firmly grabbed it by the left post. Matthijs Meerdink made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Juan Sebastián Puig fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Matthijs Meerdink quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to FC Kirchroa getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Teo Lembeck hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FC Kirchroa's Ramon María Quintana got a free kick in the 58th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthijs Meerdink made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kirchroa's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthijs Meerdink came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Kirchroa's goalkeeper Matthijs Meerdink, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Kirchroa's Matthijs Meerdink got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to FC Kirchroa getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Adriaan van Schaik hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Kirchroa's Thijs Nelissen was substituted for Adriaan van Schaik. In the 90th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes FC Kirchroa got a freekick which was hit by Dante Martinelli. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthijs Meerdink breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
