Özgür Özbay took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 8th minute Sulo Montaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sulo Montaña got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. LOI's Sulo Montaña got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the game, Samuel Navarro threw the ball into play from the sideline. LOI's Atak Koral quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sulo Montaña's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sulo Montaña. LOI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ahmet Hamdi Ortan in the 23rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Fetih Avcu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The crowd rose to their feet as LOI's Sulo Montaña slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 3-0 after 42 minutes of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Colombia's Axel Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind George Buturugã. George Buturugã yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Kaan Öztanır scored 4-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Özgür Özbay came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Buturugã made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. LOI made a substitution. Metin Semi replaced Kaan Öztanır. With a little luck, LOI's George Buturugã got control of the ball when Abram Secada tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sulo Montaña was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. LOI's Tayyip Taylan was substituted for Ahmet Hamdi Ortan. There was no doubt that LOI were the better team. LOI's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
