The supporters of Panama booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Kjellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattias Smefeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Roger Kalfhage kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Tomas Berganza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mattias Smefeldt made a kick off. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Abraham Alguacil got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 64 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Samurai's Fredrik Bennet. Fredrik Bennet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th minute, Abraham Alguacil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fredrik Bennet. The goal made the score 0-4. With his leg Fredrik Bennet managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Panama's Abraham Alguacil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Bennet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Samurai.
