Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jaime Pardo kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Luis Alberto Suárez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luis Alberto Suárez had several of the Paraguay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Jacobo Nores as he didn't even see the shot coming. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Alberto Suárez got free with Jacobo Nores in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 12th minute. Zhivko Kudev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Erland Boberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Birmingham City F.C.'s Stayko Bobekov got a free kick in the 21st minute. After taking down the ball on Birmingham City F.C.'s corner Stayko Bobekov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jacobo Nores quite easily take care of the ball. Zhivko Kudev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iker Tafalla during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iker Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stayko Bobekov got free with Jacobo Nores in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Birmingham City F.C.'s Luis Alberto Suárez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 38 minutes into the match Luis Alberto Suárez climbed in front of goal and pressed up 4-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Jacobo Nores. In the 45th minute, Xavier Zoido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Luis Alberto Suárez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Luis Alberto Suárez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Primitivo Escribano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Alberto Suárez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Birmingham City F.C.'s Luis Alberto Suárez. But to his dismay, Luis Alberto Suárez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 57 minutes into the match, Luis Alberto Suárez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Alberto Suárez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Luis Alberto Suárez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Luis Alberto Suárez took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Alberto Suárez in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Birmingham City F.C.'s Peycho Zvezdanov was substituted for Zhivko Kudev. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Peycho Zvezdanov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 75th minute Luis Alberto Suárez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Covarrubias to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Alberto Suárez, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes, Birmingham City F.C.'s Erland Boberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacobo Nores came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Birmingham City F.C. reached it. Luis Alberto Suárez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Alberto Suárez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Luis Alberto Suárez put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. After 94 minutes, Alan Campos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the Birmingham City F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Birmingham City F.C. booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Birmingham City F.C.'s Stayko Bobekov tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luis Alberto Suárez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
