In the 5th match minute, Ona Somrient FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Idacio Sánchez to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Erosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claude Erosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22nd minute Ona Somrient FC were awarded a corner. Idacio Sánchez went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Idacio Sánchez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Claude Erosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Erosa having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Bryant came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ona Somrient FC's Enzo Herrero pulled a muscle in his back after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ona Somrient FC made a substitution. Rodolfo Dias replaced Enzo Herrero. In the 47th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Dias in the 54th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ona Somrient FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claude Erosa came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Bryant came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Kobe Bryant heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Bryant came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Kobe Bryant made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ona Somrient FC's Idacio Sánchez got a free kick in the 76th minute. Ona Somrient FC's Ugaitz Palencia was substituted for Luix Palmades. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustín Saelices during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute of the match Idacio Sánchez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Rodolfo Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Fernan Alcantara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The Ona Somrient FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
