With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomil Mroczynski in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Galapagos Islands FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Boris Marsac in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Galapagos Islands FC defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anthon Karlsson. In the 42ndth minute of the game Radomil Mroczynski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomil Mroczynski, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Anthon Karlsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th match minute, Galapagos Islands FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliks Domaracki to maneuver through the defense. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador played a much better game than Galapagos Islands FC and deserved their victory. The Galapagos Islands FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
