Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Ernesto Padro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 5th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ernesto Padro. Ernesto Padro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 10th minute of the match Bacho Team got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hernan Ferrando ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bacho Team's Hernan Ferrando was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo de Sousa in the 12th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo de Sousa in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hernan Ferrando was slow to take the kick. During this time Bacho Team's players had a chance to rest. Leon Garcia was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 19 minutes into the match, Bacho Team's goalkeeper Ernesto Padro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Bacho Team's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Ernesto Padro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ivo de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ivo de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo de Sousa came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Padro made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Ernesto Padro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo de Sousa came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hernan Ferrando who took care of the corner kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivo de Sousa made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 53rd minute, Leon Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bacho Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ivo de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ivo de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Padro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Felix Montes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ernesto Padro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Bacho Team's goalie and right to Felix Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Bacho Team's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ernesto Padro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of play. Ivo de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ivo de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hernan Ferrando who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Bacho Team's corner Hernan Ferrando fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivo de Sousa got free with Julio Vera in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute, Ivo de Sousa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-3. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Padro. Ernesto Padro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3.
