Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Hal Mackey made a huge save. In the 7th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hal Mackey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hal Mackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Garrett Brock sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. In the 13th minute, Western Springs FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hal Mackey was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. Western Springs FC's Hal Mackey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Western Springs FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Hal Mackey in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Garrett Brock came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hal Mackey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Western Springs FC got a freekick which was hit by Garrett Brock. A collision led to Western Springs FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Charlie Armenta hit a great ball. A hard shot 40 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Hal Mackey managed to make a qualified save. Western Springs FC's players were relieved. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuel Corley, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

Western Springs FC's Hal Mackey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 55th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Western Springs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Hal Mackey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hal Mackey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kerry McDonald in the 74th minute. Hal Mackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Kerry McDonald sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Western Springs FC's Kerry McDonald ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Hal Mackey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 88 minutes into the match, Western Springs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hal Mackey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Kerry McDonald could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hal Mackey having to interfere. Western Springs FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
