Colombia's attentive Antonio Indiano managed to snatch the ball when Alesandro Gavilanes made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Díaz Principe could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Pedro Manzanares however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Pascual Carballar hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Díaz Principe capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Díaz Principe really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by ...Pingue S.C....'s Reinaldo Freitas. But to his dismay, Reinaldo Freitas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

Javier Abin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Axel Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 77 minute of play. ...Pingue S.C....'s Paulo Yurre was substituted for Díaz Principe. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Sebastean Gavilanes's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Colombia's attack was well implemented in the 90th minute, but when Abram Secada was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Agustin Ontanilla charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Ontanilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agustin Ontanilla kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Javier Abin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Javier Abin made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Javier Abin in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
