Humberto Maurits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 10th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Humberto Maurits was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the game, Panama's Abraham Alguacil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Maurits made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 27th minute of play forced Queen Red Bulls Eertje's goalkeeper Humberto Maurits to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Queen Red Bulls Eertje got a corner. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fola Folan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fola Folan made a great header on Queen Red Bulls Eertje's corner, it was just that Panama's Marcos Cotilla managed to reach the ball for a save. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Queen Red Bulls Eertje's Humberto Maurits was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Abraham Alguacil in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Reintjes in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Kremer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Humberto Maurits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 54th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Ravenbergen in the 60th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Reintjes in the 63rd minute of the match. Panama were furious when Aaron Barrios was red carded, 66 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 65th minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama. The referee gave Queen Red Bulls Eertje a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Richard Ravenbergen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 71st minute of play forced Queen Red Bulls Eertje's goalkeeper Humberto Maurits to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panama were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Queen Red Bulls Eertje's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. The corner led Panama's Dylan Sarmiento to fire away a dangerous shot which Humberto Maurits despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Ravenbergen, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Quexal came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gerardo Quexal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute Evert Reintjes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
