After having played for 4 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tudor Ponor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Marian Mincu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Deportivo Craques fc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Giuseppe Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuseppe Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tudor Ponor got free with Julio Vera in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Giuseppe Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tudor Ponor. In the 30th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dario Acosta's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dario Acosta helped the player get up and apologised. Dario Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Deportivo Craques fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilvan Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giuseppe Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Deportivo Craques fc's Giuseppe Silveira. Giuseppe Silveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tudor Ponor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomil Zbydniowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dario Acosta who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Giuseppe Silveira in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Giuseppe Silveira made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Urritz in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Craques fc's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giuseppe Silveira came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Craques fc made a substitution. Danilo Salgado replaced Jimeno Urritz. Giuseppe Silveira made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tudor Ponor's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Craques fc's goalkeeper Giuseppe Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Deportivo Craques fc's Giuseppe Silveira got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, Deportivo Craques fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomil Zbydniowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Deportivo Craques fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
