In the 4th minute Violet Skerlev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Biser Mihailov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tolis Lazaridis. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Tolis Lazaridis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. Tolis Lazaridis struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lokomotiv Plovdiv. In the 18th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Violet Skerlev got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nedko Telbizov charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nedko Telbizov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nedko Telbizov kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tolis Lazaridis in the 27th minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Biser Mihailov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Biser Mihailov. Biser Mihailov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Violet Skerlev, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Biser Mihailov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Tolis Lazaridis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivelin Rasolkov in the 55th minute of play. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ivelin Rasolkov in the 56th minute. The corner ended in Neycho Loboshki almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Biser Mihailov successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Ivelin Rasolkov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Tolis Lazaridis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Violet Skerlev in the 72nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Violet Skerlev went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute, Tzeno Budakov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 80th minute, Bogdan Kondov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Lokomotiv Plovdiv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neycho Loboshki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 89 played minutes Lokomotiv Plovdiv got a freekick which was hit by Tolis Lazaridis. Lokomotiv Plovdiv walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
