In the 11th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Krivé hnáty's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Krivé hnáty's Grzegorz Szamotulski did a great save. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Dominik Piczak sent off a good shot on target. Grzegorz Szamotulski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Krivé hnáty's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Grzegorz Szamotulski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominik Piczak in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Grzegorz Szamotulski in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
