The supporters of Honduras booed when Beneficiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 45th minute, Sebastian Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sidney Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Beneficiente's zone, Milagros Cabal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lara Peñaranda came out of the goal and Milagros Cabal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Cunha in the 52nd minute of play. 巩沙谦 kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lara Peñaranda saved Beneficiente from getting behind. With his leg Lara Peñaranda managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Beneficiente's Lara Peñaranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 63rd minute of play.
