The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Narciso Frechoso in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Velez sarsfield's Walter Pico was substituted for Qin Kun Xi. Valentin Lico made in the 67th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alejo Larra immediately put the ball in play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Narciso Frechoso in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walter Pico went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Peru were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Velez sarsfield's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eliseo Mina took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Antonio Tenorio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Narciso Frechoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 95 minutes into the match, Velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Narciso Frechoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Gallo.
