The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mämmädbağır Svensson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Julian Murillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Arkın Öğüç. But to his dismay, Arkın Öğüç quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mämmädbağır Svensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. 21 minutes into the match, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Mämmädbağır Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Mämmädbağır Svensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK from getting a goal against them. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Mämmädbağır Svensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joakim Forss in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Arkın Öğüç scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Mämmädbağır Svensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Luz Tejedor hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Arkın Öğüç came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Toby Tielemans made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Mämmädbağır Svensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Mämmädbağır Svensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 59th minute of play. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Lin Tian Nan was substituted for Arkın Öğüç. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Lech Kaczucha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. 86 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Forss came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Rafael Gallo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mämmädbağır Svensson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Peru lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
