The supporters of AC Roma booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute of the match, Javier Della Francesca got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Manzanares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 9th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Cristoforo Brillante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Sforza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristoforo Brillante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Sforza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. When Ernesto Errolan fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Roma's protests and gave Ernesto Errolan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Ernesto Errolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Donati hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristoforo Brillante saved AC Roma from getting behind. Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Brillante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AC Roma's Alvaro Sforza got a free kick in the 56th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Della Francesca, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Alvaro Sforza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Mihai Daimacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Joshua Garrido in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AC Roma's Mihai Daimacă. After some careless play in the AC Roma defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristoforo Brillante. The AC Roma fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristoforo Brillante should have stopped the shot. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. AC Roma's Ernesto Errolan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joshua Garrido, made in the 71st minute of the game. Alvaro Sforza took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Odisio in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 80th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Cristoforo Brillante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Donati kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Abram Sarmiento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristoforo Brillante, 2-2. 92 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Della Francesca came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alvaro Sforza was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Roma's players had a chance to rest. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
