The Everett Hawks's Ludo Vanden Bossche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute of play. The Everett Hawks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Ludo Vanden Bossche despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 21st minute. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ludo Vanden Bossche quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, The Everett Hawks's Imral Kurniawan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philippe-Arnaud Heremans took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ludo Vanden Bossche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdi Mehmet Rakim in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, The Everett Hawks's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Ludo Vanden Bossche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Fre van Eijnde sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philippe-Arnaud Heremans got free with Dante Lacasa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdi Mehmet Rakim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, The Everett Hawks's Ludo Vanden Bossche got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Imral Kurniawan's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Imral Kurniawan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Imral Kurniawan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludo Vanden Bossche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Everett Hawks's Andy Van Aghten was substituted for Philip Goorts. A collision led to The Everett Hawks getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Fre van Eijnde hit a great ball. Ludo Vanden Bossche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philippe-Arnaud Heremans in the 84th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludo Vanden Bossche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ludo Vanden Bossche. That made the score 2-1 in the 91 minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdi Mehmet Rakim in the 93rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Everett Hawks had won after a very even match.
