Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Duardo in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Nueva Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Widodo 黄忠 to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Arturo Balendin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Balendin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luchito Toni, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Widodo 黄忠 hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Ioritz Farto. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Luchito Toni made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Nueva Chicago's Luchito Toni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arturo Balendin made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arturo Balendin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Arturo Balendin came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Luchito Toni scored 2-3 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the game, Luchito Toni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Nueva Chicago's Arturo Balendin got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Duardo in the 82nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Balendin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play. Arturo Balendin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Nueva Chicago got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hector Duardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nueva Chicago's Hector Duardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
