Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, C. A. Potrero's Lucio Ur got control of the ball when Facundo Cadaval tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Lucio Ur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Mariano Orlo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Mariano Orlo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 27th minute of play forced C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Lucio Ur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucio Ur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, C. A. Potrero's Lucio Ur got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. A. Potrero's Celestino Sidro got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Lucio Ur was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lautaro Mancebo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 33 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 41st minute of play forced C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Lucio Ur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Barış Yorangil, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. C. A. Potrero's Mustafa Barış Yorangil managed to work through Mexico's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mustafa Barış Yorangil dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the game Luca Rouco made a throw-in which Joel Gaona played forward. 64 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucio Ur. C. A. Potrero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. C. A. Potrero's Mateusz Marajda was substituted for Mariano Orlo. 73 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Lucio Ur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Wladyslaw Popowicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucio Ur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 88th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
