Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Ronaldo Azenha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Spöerer got free with Benito Sanz in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 7 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilário Figueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Azenha. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Homero Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Homero Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 2-1 became the score in the 17th minute when Ronaldo Azenha elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 26th minute. Estevão Valentim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Safira Harammes defense, Eliseo Noboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilário Figueira. The Safira Harammes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilário Figueira should have stopped the shot. In the 40th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estevão Valentim in the 41st minute of play. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Spöerer in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Azenha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Ronaldo Azenha took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 58th minute of play forced Safira Harammes's goalkeeper Hilário Figueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 minutes, Ronaldo Azenha made it 6-2 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilário Figueira having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Safira Harammes made a substitution. Vítor Campos replaced Avelino Salvado. In the 70th minute, Ronaldo Azenha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Safira Harammes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-2. A collision led to Safira Harammes getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ronaldo Azenha hit a great ball. In the 78th minute Ronaldo Azenha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Safira Harammes's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Hilário Figueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Spöerer in the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Azenha came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilário Figueira having to interfere. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Hilário Figueira made a huge save. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Safira Harammes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Axel Tasis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hilário Figueira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Safira Harammes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
