When Rosen Penchovski fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Arsenal Varna's protests and gave Rosen Penchovski a yellow card for diving instead. Rosen Penchovski kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Lyuben Vlaykovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hristo Zlatanchev kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Lyuben Vlaykovski came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zhecho Tomev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lyuben Vlaykovski in the 46th minute of play. In the 62nd minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zhecho Tomev saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Zhecho Tomev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, FC Arsenal Varna's Zhecho Tomev got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hristo Zlatanchev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FC Arsenal Varna fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when FC Arsenal Varna's Hristo Zlatanchev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Mexico's Luca Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, FC Arsenal Varna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radan Anatkov to maneuver through the defense. Radko Leshkov hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Adalbert Mindizov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Arsenal Varna's Radko Leshkov got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
