Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 王震烽 in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tage Melander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 【CUFA】玄武俱乐部队's Tage Melander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by 陈昆志 in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in 【CUFA】玄武俱乐部队's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tage Melander came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 王震烽 was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 41st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Melander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tage Melander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 陈昆志, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball.
