Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Lucas Maciel in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 17th minute of play forced CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Lucas Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CLAYMORE COUNTRY were furious when Eric Trăilă was red carded, 19 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of CLAYMORE COUNTRY:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Colombia:s goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Abram Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Anísio Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the CLAYMORE COUNTRY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anísio Azevedo couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Washington Arantes. In the 54th minute, Anísio Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in Colombia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! The crowd rose to their feet as Washington Arantes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 3-5 in the 89 minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Dusty Amireau in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Abram Secada. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Azevedo in the 94th minute of the match. Washington Arantes scored 3-6 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded CLAYMORE COUNTRY left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Colombia.
